We are interested in the effects of steroid hormones on the brain, in particular, those on the brain development, sexual behavior, affective disorders and endocrine functions.

Ongoing projects include:

Ventral premammillary nucleus and the lordosis reflex

Ontogeny of GnRH neurons

Regulation of estrogen receptor gene expression

Neural mechanism for penile erection

The recording of sex behavior-related hypothalamic neuronal activity in unrestrained rats is among our current research projects (right).
